The worst thing about the holidays is having everybody home and everybody using the kitchen (something that doesn’t happen on a normal basis any other time of the year.) All I want to do is make my baked brie!

The good part about the holidays is being able to make things for holiday parties and get-togethers.

Now that my finals are over for school and I just have a few projects to finish up I’m hoping to have much more time to cook/bake. Even if it’s just for myself.

Today I found a new app for my iPhone from the Wine Spectator. It’s free and I suggest anyone who is interested at all in wine to download it. It gives you a type of wine and a few different recipes for Triscuit cracker hor dourves. I can’t wait to make them. And my brother is a huge wine fanatic since moving to Washington State so I plan on spoiling him while he’s here.

I will definitely be keeping my eye out for good holiday recipes, and I could use some help. So please, spread the wealth and give me some suggestions. I promise to try them and post my successes and failures.

What are your favorite holiday food traditions?

Williams & Sonoma peppermint bark and Starbucks peppermint mocha… also known as “Holiday Traditions for a Single Mom Who Doesn’t Have Time to Cook!” :D But something I absolutely love for the holidays, and I really should make it more often, is whipped sweet potatoes with a topping of cinnamon, allspice, oats, brown sugar, and of course, marshmallows. And can’t forget pumpkin pie. :)

Merry Christmas, and lots of love to the fam! I miss you guys… :)
